For Couples…
-
Couples counseling is a guided process where partners work with a trained therapist to strengthen communication, resolve conflicts, rebuild trust, and create healthier patterns.
At Mustard Seed Christian Counseling, I provide this service through online couples counseling for Tennessee, California, South Carolina, and Florida.
-
Couples seek therapy to improve their communication, to address frequent arguments, to decrease emotional distance, in preparation for or during life transitions, for healing after a breach of trust, or just to make sure they’re on the same page and to maintain a healthy relationship.
Prior to getting married is another excellent time to seek couples counseling, so that you can get most or all of the potential questions and issues on the table, BEFORE the big day.
Whether you’re joining online from Tennessee, California, South Carolina, Florida, counseling can support you at any stage of your relationship.

Preventative support is especially helpful for couples navigating busy seasons of life across states like Tennessee and California.
-
Sessions are held weekly or biweekly via exclusively online couples counseling. You’ll explore relationship patterns, learn communication & conflict management tools, and work toward shared goals with your therapist.
-
Treatment length varies.
Many couples see change in 8–12 sessions, but deeper issues or long-standing patterns may take longer.
It also depends on how invested the couple is in making changes.

Yes. The confidentiality policies and legal exceptions are clearly outlined in the Consent & Disclosure form.
For Couples Counseling, I have a “No Secrets” Policy, when conducting family or couples counseling. If you share something with Brittanie during an individual session, she will encourage you to address it in the next session that includes all parties. This also means that if you participate in family, and/or marital/couples therapy, Brittanie is permitted to use information obtained in an individual session that you may have had with her, during a future joint session.
-
Most sessions are together. Occasionally, a therapist may schedule a brief individual check-in to gather context.
-
Absolutely! Our clients across all four states experience the same benefits as in-person therapy—greater connection, fewer conflicts, and healthier communication patterns.
-
Most plans do not cover couples counseling, but many clients choose private pay, HSA cards, or request superbills when eligible.
A Super Bill is a receipt you can provide to your insurance provider to request full or partial reimbursement of your out of pocket costs.
Please contact your insurance provider to inquire about your Out of Network Benefits.
